Butterscotch Drops Recipe
Ingredients
| Shortening | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs- 2 -€™s | ||
| Buttermilk/ Water- ½ cup | ||
| Flour | 3 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sieved | |
| Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Butter for greasing | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Pre heat an oven at 200 C (400 F).
2. Grease a baking tray with butter and keep aside.
MAKING
3. In a medium sized bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Sieve together and keep aside.
4. In another medium sized bowl, combine sugar, shortening and eggs. Cream well.
5. Add buttermilk and mix well.
6. Add sieved ingredients and mix well. Cling wrap and refrigerate.
7. Drop spoonfuls of chilled mixture on to greased tray.
8. Bake in pre heated oven for 8 to 10 minutes or till done.
9. Once baked, remove from oven and keep aside to cool. Makes around 70 no-€™s.

10. Place on a serving tray and serve immediately or store in cookie jars.
