Butterscotch Chip Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 Large | |
| Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
| All purpose flour | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Butterscotch chips | 2 Cup (16 tbs) |
Directions
GROUNDWORK
1) Preheat oven moderately hot to 375° F (190°C).
2) Grease the cookie sheets with butter.
MAKING
3) Electric Mixer Method cream butter.
4) Add sugar and beat on high speed till fluffy.
5) Mix eggs and vanilla extract beat till done.
6) In a medium bowl mix flour, baking soda and salt together.
7) Gently mix to creamed mixture and blend the dough well.
8) Mix butterscotch chips by hand.
9) Food Processor Method With metal blade in place cream butter.
10) Add sugar and beat on high speed till fluffy.
11) Keep the processor running and add eggs, vanilla extract and blend well.
12) In a medium bowl mix flour, baking soda and salt together.
13) Pour in the workbowl one half of the mixture at a time until blended.
14) Mix butterscotch chips and pulse till blended.
15) On the greased cookie sheets add one heaped teaspoon at a time.
16) Bake for 8-10 minutes till golden.
17) Let stand on cookie sheets till firm.
