Butterscotch Bars Recipe
This recipe of Butterscotch Bars was picked up by me from a gourmet magazine, I twisted it a little bit to meet my taste here I am, sharing my version with you. Benefit from this Butterscotch Bars which is Diabetic. Best enjoyed as a Dessert this recipe was taught to me by a dear friend who also happens to be a great chef. Treat your family to this Butterscotch Bars and they are going to adore you for it.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
Dash salt
1/4 cup melted margarine
1/2 cup granulated brown sugar replacement
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp liquid butter flavoring
Directions
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Set aside.
Combine margarine and brown sugar replacement in a bowl.
Beat or stir to blend.
Add egg, vanilla extract, and liquid butter flavoring.
Mix well.
Gradually stir flour mixture into margarine mixture.
Lightly grease an 8 x 8 in. (20 x 20 cm) baking pan with vegetable oil spray.
Spread mixture into bottom of pan.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes, or until top springs back when touched.
Cool in pan on cooling rack.
Set aside.
