Butterscotch Apple Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1egg
1/2 c. apple juice
1 small, grated apple
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
2 c. butterscotch flavored morsels
Finely chopped walnuts
Directions
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, cream brown sugar and butter.
Beat in egg gradually.
Beat in dry ingredients alternately with apple juice.
Stir in apples, walnuts and 1 1/2 cups butterscotch morsels.
Drop by slightly rounded tablespoons 3 inches apart onto lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake in 350° oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly brown.
Cool on wire rack.
Spread with glaze and sprinkle with nuts.
