Ingredients
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
Pinch of salt
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. pecans
Directions
Cook sugar, soda, buttermilk and salt in large, heavy saucepan until a soft ball forms in cold water.
Remove from heat and cool.
Add butter, vanilla and pecans.
Beat until stiff and creamy.
Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper.
