Ingredients

 Sugar3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Soda1 Teaspoon
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 3 tablespoons white Karo syrup
 Buttermilk1 Cup (16 tbs)
 2 tablespoons butter or oleo
 Vanilla1 Teaspoon
 Pecans2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped

Directions

Cook all ingredients except pecans, in a large boiler until soft ball stage, 236-238 degrees F.
Cool.
Beat until thick and creamy.
Add and mix in 2 cups of chopped pecans.
Drop on waxed paper by teaspoon-fuls.
Makes 36 pieces.
