Buttered Beet Valentine Recipe
Ingredients
4 large beets
3 tbsp (45 ml) butter
Salt and pepper
2 tbsp (30 ml) parsley
Directions
– In a saucepan filled with lightly salted boiling water, cook beets for 1 hour, then drain. Slice beets and carve each slice into a heart shape.
– In a skillet, melt butter and gently saute beet hearts. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley and serve.
