Buttercream Eggs Recipe
Do not fear when you have to impress a crowd. This Buttercream Eggs recipe is a lifesaver. Best enjoyed as a Side Dish this recipe was taught to me by a dear friend who also happens to be a great chef. I challenge you to give me a better recipe of Buttercream Eggs than this.
Ingredients
Butter
1 8-oz. package
cream cheese
3 boxes confectioners'
sugar
1/2 lb. semisweet
chocolate
1 2-in. square
paraffin
1/4 tsp. Vanilla
Directions
Cream 1 cup butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy; blend in confectioners' sugar, a small amount at a time.
Shape mixture into small eggs; chill for at least 1 hour.
Combine chocolate, paraffin, 1 tablespoon butter and vanilla in top of double boiler.
Stir over hot water until melted and smooth.
Dip eggs into chocolate mixture; arrange on waxed paper to harden.
Yield: 90-100 eggs.
