Butter Tart Pie Recipe
This Butter Tart Pie recipe is easily right at the top of my most loved recipe list. I just love Dessert recipes and this dish is my only favorite amongst them. Ingredients
3 eggs 3
3/4 cup packed brown sugar 175 mL
3/4 cup corn syrup 175 mL
3 tbsp butter, melted 50 mL
4 tsp all-purpose flour 20 mL
1-1/2 tsp vanilla 7mL
1/4 tsp salt 1 mL
2-1/4 cups currants 550 mL
Directions
In bowl, beat eggs lightly.
Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, flour, vanilla and salt until blended.
Stir in currants.
Pour into pie shell.
* Bake in 400°F (200°C) oven for 5 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350CF (180°C).
Bake for about 35 minutes longer or until center is just firm to the touch, covering edges of pastry with foil if browning too much.
Let cool completely before cutting.
