Butter Steamed Kohlrabi & Mushrooms Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 medium-size kohlrabi | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Water | 7 Tablespoon | |
| 1/2 teaspoon dry basil or oregano leaves | ||
| Mushrooms | 1/2 pound, sliced | |
| Grated Parmesan cheese | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Peel and thinly slice kohlrabi; you should have 3 cups.
Melt butter in a wide frying pan over high heat.
Add kohlrabi; cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
Add water and basil; cover and cook, stirring often, for 4 minutes.
Add mushrooms, cover, and cook, stirring often, until kohlrabi is tender when pierced (about 4 more minutes).
Season to taste with salt and pepper, pour into a serving dish, and sprinkle with cheese.
