Butter Oat Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 4 Ounce | |
| 4 oz. castor sugar | ||
| 1 dessertspoon treacle or golden syrup | ||
| Self raising flour | 4 Ounce | |
| Rolled oats | 9 Ounce | |
| Soda bicarbonate | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Boiling water | 4 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Cream butter and sugar, add treacle, and cream well.
Blend in sifted flour and oats.
Dissolve soda in boiling water and add to mixture while still hot.
Mix to a stiff dough.
Roll teaspoons of mixture into balls; place on greased baking tray allowing room for spreading; press flat.
Bake in moderate oven, Mark 4, 350°F., approximately 15 minutes.
Cool on trays.
