Butter Basted Crab Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Lemon peel | 1/4 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Lemon juice | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1 Tablespoon, thinly sliced | |
| 1 teaspoon each finely chopped parsley and soy sauce | ||
| Liquid hot pepper seasoning | ||
| 1 cooked whole crab in shell (about 2 lbs.), cleaned and cracked | ||
| Lemon wedges | ||
Directions
In a small pan over medium heat, melt butter; add lemon peel, lemon juice, onion, parsley, and soy.
Season to taste with hot pepper seasoning.
Simmer, uncovered, for 3 to 5 minutes.
Arrange crab pieces in an even layer in a 7 by 11-inch baking dish.
Brush butter mixture over crab and bake, covered, in a 300° oven for about 20 minutes (basting often with pan juices) or until heated through.
Garnish with lemon wedges; provide nutcrackers and small forks for removing meat from shells.
