Buffalo Mincemeat Recipe
Ingredients
| 450 g ground buffalo meat | ||
| Beef suet | 150 Gram | |
| 5 large, pared and chopped apples | ||
| Raisins | 3 Kilogram | |
| Apple cider | 500 Milliliter | |
| Molasses | 250 Milliliter | |
| 60 ml fine julienne cut lemon rind | ||
| 60 ml fine julienne cut orange rind | ||
| 5 ml ground cinnamon - or more to taste | ||
Directions
Cook the buffalo in the suet.
Cool and remove all the fat.
Mix all the remaining ingredients with the meat in a Dutch oven.
Cook gently for 2 hours.
Cool and use in pies or tartlets.
