 Oil1 Tablespoon (For Brushing)

Directions

Roast the buckwheat gently for a few minutes in a dry heavy pan.
When the grain starts to turn brown, add the hot water.
Cover and cook for about 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas mark 6.
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the carrots, dulse, oats and tamari.
Mix well.
Form the mixture into burgers.
Spread the flour out on a flat plate and coat each burger, shaking to remove any excess flour.
Place the burgers on a lightly greased baking sheet.
Brush the tops with a little oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if using.
Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes, until browned.
Serve at once.
