Brussels Sprouts With Almond Butter Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 cup chopped almonds
1/4 cup water
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Directions
Wash and trim Brussels sprouts.
Soak in salted cold water 10 minutes.
Drain.
Place butter in shallow microproof baking dish.
Cover with waxed paper.
Cook on HI, 6 to 8 minutes, or until butter is browned.
Stir in almonds and set aside.
Combine water and Brussels sprouts in 2-quart microproof casserole.
Cover and cook on HI, 12 to 15 minutes, or until tender.
Drain.
Place in serving dish.
Pour almond butter over Brussels sprouts.
Season with pepper.
