Italian Bruschetta Recipe

The taste of this Bruschetta has played on my mind so much that I seldom go for any another recipe of Bruschetta. This Bruschetta when served as a Snack will bring happiness in your dining room. The Bruschetta is a glorious invention of the Italian cuisine. Treat your family to this Bruschetta and they are going to adore you for it.

Ingredients

 
2 Italian rolls (each 5 inches long)
 
1 3/4 cups (14.5 ounce can) CONTADINA® Italian Style Pear Shaped Tomatoes
 
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
 
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
 
1 tablespoon olive oil
 
1 small clove garlic, crushed
 
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
 
1/4 teaspoon salt
 
1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Cut rolls lengthwise in half.
Cut each half crosswise into 2 pieces.
Toast cut sides.
Drain tomatoes thoroughly; chop tomatoes.
Combine tomatoes with remaining ingredients.
Spoon tomato mixture onto toasted rolls.
Broil, 5 inches from heat source, until tomato mixture is hot, about 2 minutes.
