Brownies For A Crowd Recipe

Ingredients
1/2 Cup Butter or Margarine
1 Cup Sugar
4 Eggs
1 Tsp. Vanilla
1 Lb. Can Chocolate Syrup
1 Cup Sifted Flour
1/4 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Cup Chopped Nuts
6 Tbs. Butter or Margarine
6 Tbs. Milk
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Semisweet Chocolate Pieces
1 Tsp. Vanilla
Directions
Cream together 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs and 1 tsp.vanilla, blend well.
Stir in chocolate syrup.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; pour into well-greased 15 1/2" x 10 1/2" x 1" jelly roll pan.
Bake in 350 degree oven 22 minutes, or until done.
Cool in pan on rack.
Combine 6 tbs butter, milk and 1 cup of sugar in saucepan.
Bring to a boil; boil 30 seconds.
Remove from heat.
Add chocolate pieces and 1 tsp.vanilla; stir until mixture thickens slightly.
Spread over brownies, cut into 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" bars.
