Brownie Alaska Recipe
This Brownie Alaskas recipe is one whch makes it to the top of my list and one which I enjoy making again and again. I had these Brownies Alaskas last night and I feel it is worth dying for. Really YUMMY!

| 1 1/2 pints strawberry ice cream | ||
| Egg whites | 4 | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Prepare brownie mix according to package directions using a 9-inch square baking pan; cool completely.
Cut brownies into 3-inch squares.
Arrange brownies on a cookie sheet; top each with a scoop of ice cream.
Freeze at least 1 hour.
Beat egg whites (at room temperature) at high speed of an electric mixer until foamy.
Gradually add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating until stiff peaks form.
Remove ice cream-topped brownies from freezer.
Spread meringue over ice cream, making sure edges are sealed.
Bake at 500° for 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly browned.
Garnish with cherries, if desired.
