Browned Butter Wilted Lettuce Recipe
Ingredients
| About 2 quarts torn and loosely measured hearts of butter or Boston lettuce | ||
| Snipped chives | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Butter | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Place lettuce in salad bowl.
Sprinkle with chives.
Heat butter until it melts and foams and browns; watch carefully, do not let it burn.
Pour hot butter over lettuce and chives.
Toss lightly.
Serve at once.
