Brown Sugar Boiled Frosting Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed 375 mL | ||
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Corn syrup | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Egg whites | 2 | |
| Cream of tartar | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Mix the first four ingredients together in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
Boil without stirring to the soft ball stage.
Beat egg whites and cream of tartar together and beat until stiff moist peaks form, then beat in the hot syrup and beat until stiff and lukewarm.
Flavor to taste.
