Brown Rice Savory Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cupful brown rice
1/8 teaspoonful curry powder
1 teaspoonful salt
1 tablespoonful lemon juice
1 1/2 cupfuls water
1 tablespoonful butter or margarine
1 large can sardines
1/8 teaspoonful pepper
1 teaspoonful prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoonful salt
Chopped parsley
Directions
Cook the rice in the water with 1 tsp salt until rice is tender.
Pour off the oil from the sardines and add to it the prepared mustard, curry powder and lemon juice.
Coat the sardines with this dressing.
Season the rice with the butter or margarine, 1/2 tsp.
salt and pepper and place in a serving dish.
Lay sardines on the bed of hot rice and sprinkle the whole with chopped parsley.
