Directions
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Prepare a broiler pan by covering it with aluminum foil, cutting slits in the top, for easy baking and clean-up. In a gallon-sized zip lock plastic bag, combine 1/2 cup flour, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, if desired. Seal the bag temporarily, and shake the bag to combine all ingredients. Place one slice of bacon at a time in the bag, and shake to coat completely. Place the bacon on the broiler pan in such a way that the slices do not touch. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove from broiler pan, and place on paper toweling to drain. Remove to a nice serving dish. Serve at a simple breakfast or lavish brunch. The bacon will fit in nicely at either! I chose this recipe for those of you looking for something a little different for a New Year's breakfast or brunch. Enjoy! Happy New year! --Betty :)
