Directions

Cream butter.
Add brown sugar gradually and continue creaming until light and fluffy.
Blend in egg yolk and combined dry ingredients.
Roll 1/8 inch thick on floured surface.
Cut in desired shapes with cookie cutters.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
Combine egg white and water: brush mixture over cookies.
Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove from cookie sheets at once.
