Brown Sugar Cookies Recipe
How is it that you still haven't tried my recipe for Brown Sugar Cookies. There is not a single month when I don't serve this yummy Dessert! Try it, your family and friends will be bowled over by this delicious Brown Sugar Cookies recipe.
Ingredients
1 Cup Shortening (we use margarine)
2 Cups Light Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Tbs. Water
2 Tsp. Vanilla
3 1/2 Cups Flour
2 Tsp. Baking Powder
1 Tsp. Soda
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Cinnamon
Directions
Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, water and vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients and mix well.
We take little balls of dough and mash down with fork; or you can roll it out and cut with cookie cutter.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
A vanilla or caramel icing is good, or sprinkle brown sugar or coconut on top before baking.
Easy to make and a favorite with children.
