Brown Rice Recipe
Brown Rice recipe is very precious to me because it was passed on to me by my mom. It is a great Side Dish. Rice is one of the few ingredients I like to include in my daily cooking and this is my comfort recipe that I usually prepare using it. You don't have to be an expert to judge how delicious and flavorful this dish is.
Ingredients
4 tablespoons butter
2 cups chicken stock or water
1 medium finely chopped onion
Salt and fresh pepper to taste
1 cup brown rice
Directions
Melt butter in small heavy casserole.
Add onion and stir until wilted.
Add rice.
Stir for 2 or 3 minutes.
Pour on liquid, salt, and fresh pepper.
Bring to a boil.
Turn to simmer.
Put on lid and simmer for approximately 40-50 minutes.
Fluff with two forks.
