Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 2 tablespoons each diced carrot, celery, and onion | ||

| 1 packet instant beef broth and seasoning mix | ||
| Bay Leaf | 1 | |
| Garlic | 1/2 Clove (5gm) | |
| Dash each pepper and thyme leaves | ||
Directions
In small saucepan heat margarine over medium heat until bubbly and hot; add flour and cook, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes.
Add carrot, celery, and onion and continue to stir and cook until vegetables are lightly browned, about 5 minutes; remove from heat and gradually stir in water.
Add remaining ingredients, stirring to comboil.
Reduce heat and let simmer, stirring occasionally, for 45 minutes.
Let mixture cool slightly, then remove and discard bay leaf; transfer gravy to blender container and process until smooth.
