Brown Betty Recipe
I got to try out this Brown Betty at my friend's place. My GOD, It was simply mind blowing! This Brown Betty when served as a Dessert will bring happiness in your dining room. Use the freshest of Apple available to get a great Brown Betty. You will be tempted to prepare this Brown Betty recipe again.
Ingredients
2 c dessert topping (granola)
3 c apples, pared and sliced
1/3 c apple concentrate
2 t water
1/4 t cinnamon
1/2 t nutmeg
Lemon rind, grated
1-1/2 t lemon juice
2 t butter
Directions
Spread a third of the Granola on the bottom of a buttered baking dish.
Saute apples in butter.
Mix apples, apple concentrate, water, spices, grated rind, and juice.
Put half of this mixture in the granola-lined dish, then cover with half of the remaining granola.
Add the remaining fruit mixture and top with remaining granola.
Pour melted butter on top and press lightly with hands.
Cover and bake at 350° for a half hour.
