Ingredients
4 brook trout
Lemon juice
Salt
Pepper
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons milk
Fine dry bread crumbs
1/2 cup butter, divided
1 can (2-ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
Directions
Sprinkle cleaned and dressed brook trout inside and out with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
Dip in egg combined with milk.
Cover with bread crumbs.
Melt half of the butter in a skillet.
Add fish and saute until golden brown on both sides, about 3 to 4 minutes, or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
Melt remaining butter.
Add mushrooms, 1 table- spoon lemon juice and1/2teaspoon salt.
Serve brook trout with hot sauce.
