Broken Glass Cake Recipe
How can anyone not agree with me that this Broken Glass Cake is simply delicious? Serve this tasty Dessert as often as you like! Have faith in me and try this Broken Glass Cake.
Ingredients
3 - 3 Oz. Pkgs. Fruit Flavored Gelatin, assorted
2 Cups Vanilla Wafer OR Graham Cracker Crumbs
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 Stick Margarine, melted
1 Envelope Unflavored Gelatin
2 Tbs. Cold Water
1/2 Cup Hot Fruit Juice
2 Pkgs. Whipped Topping
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Milk
Chopped Nuts, if desired
Directions
Prepare 3 fruit gelatins according to package directions (select assorted colors and flavors).
Pour into 3 shallow pans and keep in refrigerator overnight.
Mix 1 3/4 cups of the crumbs with 1/2 cup of sugar and melted margarine.
Use to line bottom and sides of a 13" x 9" pan.
Dissolve unflavored gelatin in cold water; let stand 5 minutes.
Add hot juice & heat until gelatin is dissolved; cool.
Whip packaged topping with vanilla, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 cup milk.
Fold unflavored gelatin mixture into this mixture.
Cut fruit gelatin into small cubes and fold into topping mixture.
This dessert gives the appearance of colored glass cubes.
Pour into crumb-lined pan and sprinkle with remainder of crumbs and nuts.
