Broiled Coconut Topping Recipe

Ingredients

 
1/4 cup soft butter or regular margarine
 
1/4 cup light cream or evaporated milk, undiluted
 
1/2 cup light-brown sugar, firmly packed
 
1 cup flaked or shredded coconut

Directions

In small bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well.
Spread evenly over top of hot 8-inch or 9-inch square cake.
Run under broiler, 4 inches from heat, 2 to 3 minutes, or until topping is bubbly and golden.
Cool cake in pan on wire rack; serve slightly warm
