Broiled Tomatoes Recipe
Ingredients
| Tomatoes | 3 Large | |
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| 1 cup fresh fine dry bread crumbs | ||
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Cut thin slices from bottom and top of tomatoes; cut in half crosswise.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Dip in egg, then bread crumbs.
Place on broiler rack with bottom or top side up.
Dot each with butter, broil 4 inches from source of heat; turn and repeat on other side.
Sprinkle with brown sugar; brown quickly (few seconds) under broiler.
