Broiled Lettuce Salads Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 firm large head iceberg lettuce, cut into 6 slices | ||
| 2 medium tomatoes, each cut into 6 slices | ||
| 3/4 cup bottled buttermilk salad dressing | ||
| 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar or process American cheese | ||
| Green onions | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
Directions
Place lettuce slices on ungreased cookie sheet.
Place 2 tomato slices on each lettuce slice.
Spoon about 1 tablespoon dressing onto each tomato slice; sprinkle with cheese.
Set oven control to broil and/or 550°.
Broil salads with tops 2 to 3 inches from heat just until dressing and cheese bubble, about 2 minutes.
Sprinkle with onions.
Place 2 tomato slices on each lettuce slice.
