Broiled Flank Steak Recipe
Ingredients
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), pressed | |
| Salad oil | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Red wine vinegar | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 2 teaspoons each Worcestershire, soy sauce, and dry mustard | ||
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Few drops of liquid hot pepper seasoning | ||
| 1 flank steak (1 to 1 1/2 lbs.) | ||
Directions
In a shallow dish, mix garlic, oil, vinegar, Worcestershire, soy, mustard, pepper, and hot pepper seasoning.
Place steak in dish; turn to coat with marinade.
Let stand for 30 minutes; turn over several times.
Remove steak from marinade; drain briefly, reserving marinade.
Place steak on a lightly greased rack in a broiler pan.
Broil about 4 inches below heat until done to your liking when slashed (3 to 4 minutes on each side for rare).
Baste with reserved marinade several times during cooking.
Transfer steak to a carving board and cut across the grain into thin slanting slices.
