Broccoli Wild Rice Soup Recipe

Ingredients
1 (6 ounce) package chicken and wild rice mix
5 cups water
1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
1 medium carrot, shredded
2 teaspoons dried minced onion
1 (10 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
1/4 cup slivered almonds
Directions
Combine the rice, contents of the seasoning packet and water in a large saucepan.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes.
Stir in the broccoli, carrot and onion.
Simmer, covered, for 5 minutes.
Stir in the soup and cream cheese.
Cook until the cream cheese is melted and warm, stirring constantly.
Stir in the almonds.
