Broccoli Polonaise Recipe
Yummy Beaten Batter Rolls are easy to make. My children love them and so I end up making and storing the Beaten Batter Rolls up for a whole month. Try it!
Ingredients
1 pound broccoli
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup butter, divided
1 hard cooked egg, sieved
1/4 cup fine bread crumbs
Salt and white pepper
Directions
Peel the broccoli and cut an "X" in the base of each stem.
Boil or steam the broccoli until tender.
Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a small skillet.
Add the bread crumbs and saute until golden brown.
Reserve.
Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a small saucepan.
Add the lemon juice.
Pour the hot butter over the cooked broccoli.
Top with the sieved hard cooked egg and reserved crumbs.
Add salt and white pepper to taste.
