Broccoli In Wine (Broccoli Alla Romana) Recipe
Ingredients
2 lb (1 kg) broccoli
salt and pepper
1/2 cup (125 ml) olive oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 cups (500 ml) dry white wine
Directions
Heat the oil in a large saucepan and saute the garlic until it is golden brown.
Add the wine and the prepared broccoli, stalks down.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Cook, uncovered, until tender.
Remove the broccoli to a warm serving dish and reduce the wine to about 1/2 cup over a high heat.
Pour over the broccoli.
