Brisket Of Beef With Horseradish Recipe
Ingredients
3 to 4 lb. beef brisket
Salt and pepper to taste
1 med onion, sliced
1 bay leaf
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 cup horseradish, grated
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Place brisket in large kettle; add salt and pepper.
Add onion, bay leaf, and enough water to cover brisket.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours.
Remove brisket from water.
Combine lemon juice and horseradish.
Rub surface of brisket with horseradish mixture.
Return brisket to kettle; cover.
Cook 1 hour longer.
Add onion, bay leaf, and enough water to cover brisket.
Bring to a boil.

Remove brisket from water.
Combine lemon juice and horseradish.
Rub surface of brisket with horseradish mixture.
Return brisket to kettle; cover.
Cook 1 hour longer.
