Breakfast English Muffin With Canadian Bacon Recipe

Ingredients

 Extra virgin olive oil, for brushing grill
 English muffins3
 Canadian bacon slice6
 1 tomato, cut into 6 thin slices
 1 onion, cut into 6 thin rounds
 Dried basil, to taste

Directions

Preheat stovetop grill.
Brush grill surface lightly with oil.
Cook English muffins, cut side down, over medium-high heat, pressing down with a spatula, about 1 minute.
Turn muffins over.
Place a slice of cheese on top of each muffin.
Grill about 1 minute.
The muffin will have golden brown areas on both top and bottom.
Remove muffins to serving plate.
Grill bacon until cooked to taste (about 1 minute on each side).
Place bacon atop each muffin.
Set a tomato slice over bacon.
Grill onion about 30 seconds on each side.
Onion will char slightly.
Place onion on top of tomato.
Sprinkle with basil
