Breadfruit Soup Guadeloupe Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 breadfruit (about 1 1/2 pounds) | ||
| 2 bacon slices, fried and crumbled | ||
| Coconut milk | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soft butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Bake breadfruit at 350°F 45 minutes.
Open it and remove the center; peel and dice the meat.
Put breadfruit, bacon, and coconut milk in a bowl.
Puree a little at a time in an electric blender or in a food mill, adding butter if necessary.
Heat.
Serve in bouillon cups and garnish with toasted grated coconut.
