Breaded Pork Chops Apple Rings Recipe
Ingredients
| 8 thin center-cut loin pork chops (about 2 pounds) | ||
| Seasoned all-purpose flour | ||
| Egg | 1 | |
| Water | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Fine dry bread crumbs | ||
| Fat for deep frying | ||
| 2 large unpeeled red apples | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Dredge pork chops with flour.
Dip into egg beaten with water.
Roll in bread crumbs.
Fry in deep hot fat (375°F.on a frying thermometer) until golden-brown and done.
Meanwhile, core unpeeled apples.
Cut into 1/2 inch slices.
Cook in butter in skillet until lightly browned and tender.
Arrange chops and apple rings on hot platter.
If gravy is desired, use a can of mushroom or celery soup thinned with a little milk and served piping hot.
