Dry bread crumbs- 2 cups
Milk- 4 cups, scalded
Eggs- 2
Sugar- 1/2 cup
Salt- 1/4 teaspoon
Nutmeg- 1/4 teaspoon
Vanilla- 1 teaspoon
Raisins- 1/2 cup, if desired

GETTING READY
1.Start by preheating the oven to 350F degrees
MAKING
2.In a bowl, soak bread crumbs in milk until soft.
3.Beat eggs until light; add sugar, salt, nutmeg, vanilla and raisins.
4.Mix thoroughly with bread mixture.
5.Pour into greased baking dish and set in pan of hot water.
6.Bake in moderate oven for 1 hour or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
