| Vinegar | 4 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced | |
| Onions | 12 Small, thinly sliced | |

Directions
Alternate layers of cucumbers, onions, salt and cracked ice in crock; let stand, covered, for 3 hours.
Drain thoroughly.
Combine sugar, vinegar and spices; bring to a boil.
Add cucumbers, mix well.
Simmer, stirring frequently, until mixture comes just to a boil; remove from heat.
Seal in hot sterilized jars.
