Bread Upma Recipe
Ingredients
| Bread slices | 5 | |
| Onion | 1 Large | |
| Green chilli | 1 | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Turmeric powder | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Mustard seeds | 1 Teaspoon (For Seasoning:) | |
| Cumin seeds | 1 Teaspoon (For Seasoning:) | |
| Curry leaves | 5 (For Seasoning:) | |
| A pinch of Hing (asafoetida) | ||
| Fresh chopped coriander | ||
Directions
1. Break the bread into small pieces.
2. Finely chop onion.
3. Add the seasoning ingredients.
4. On crackling of mustard seeds, add jeera, chopped green chillies, curry leaves and hing.
5. Add onion and saute till soft and transparent.
6. Sprinkle little water on the bread pieces. Add haldi powder and salt and mix well.
7. Stir in the bread pieces well. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for a few minutes.
8. Garnish with chopped coriander.
