Bread Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Milk | 1/2 Pint | |
| Small onion | 1 | |
| Cloves | 2 | |
| Ground mace | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Bay leaf | 1 | |
| Breadcrumbs | 2 Ounce | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste |
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Start by infusing the milk
MAKING
2. In a saucepan, put the first 6 ingredeints, boil it and take the pan away from the heat, cover the pan and sae aside for 15 minutes
3. Pour the milk in a strainer and strain it, againpour the milk in the saucepan and boil it
4. In the pan, add the breadcrumbs over the ingredeints, and cook over medium heat, keep stirring continually, for 1-2 minutes, until the milk is absorbed completely
5. Make sure that the sauce is thick, then stir in the butter in the pan, take the pan away from the heat, then season to taste
SERVING
6. Serve warm with chicken or turkey
TIPS
Bread sauce can be kept warm up to 30 minutes in a water bath, not more than that because the sauce becomes pasty
