Bread Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Milk | 300 Milliliter | |
| Onion | 30 Gram | |
| Margarine | 30 Gram | |
| Breadcrumbs | 45 Gram | |
| Cloves | 2 | |
| Mace 1 blade | ||
| Lemon rind 1 strip | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper a pinch | ||
Directions
1. Simmer onion stuck with clove and mace in milk for half an hour.
2. Put breadcrumbs, margarine and seasoning into a bowl.
3. Strain flavoured milk over the breadcrumb mixture.
4. Stand in a warm place to thicken.
5. Reheat and beat well. One tbsp. of cream may be added if liked.
