Bread Pudding Recipe
Are you looking for a yummy bread pudding recipe that will make your guests come back to your door-step time and again? There is not a single month when I don't serve this yummy dessert! A family favorite that is feasted upon every weekend, this bread pudding recipe should not be missed!
Ingredients
15 to 20 slices stale bread, broken into small chunks
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
Cinnamon
1 c. seedless raisins or other fruit (if desired)
3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
Directions
Put broken bread into a large baking dish.
In another bowl, whip eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla together.
Pour over bread.
Stir to moisten all the pieces of the bread.
The consistency should be like turkey stuffing before baking.
Add cinnamon and fruit if you are going to.
Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until knife comes out clean when inserted in the middle.
You can serve with whipped cream, ice cream, hot caramel sauce or lemon sauce.
