Bread And Butter Pickles Recipe
Ingredients
| Cucumbers | 30 | |
| Onions | 10 Medium | |
| Salt | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Vinegar | 5 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Celery seed | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground ginger | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Turmeric | 1 Teaspoon | |
| White mustard seed | 2 Teaspoon |
Directions
Slice the cucumbers and onions and sprinkle with salt.
Let stand for 1 hour.
Drain in a cheesecloth bag.
Combine remaining ingredients in a large kettle and bring to a boil.
Add the cucumbers and onions and bring to a boiling point.
Simmer for 10 minutes, then pour in sterilized jars.
Place caps on jars.
Process for 10 minutes at 180 degrees in a waterbath canner.
