Ingredients

 Shortening1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
 Sugar1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
 Egg yolks2
 Ground brazil nuts6 Tablespoon
 Grated lemon rind1⁄2 Teaspoon
 Salt1⁄8 Teaspoon
 Cake flour1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Orange juice3 Tablespoon
 Thinly sliced brazil nuts1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
 Confectioners' sugar1 Tablespoon

Directions

Cream shortening, add sugar and egg yolks and cream thoroughly.
Mix the ground nuts, lemon rind, salt and flour together and add to the creamed mixture alternately with the orange juice.
Fold in sliced nuts, drop by teaspoons onto a greased cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes at 400°F.
While hot roll in confectioners' sugar.
Makes 40 small cookies.
