Brandy Balls Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup (6-ounce package) semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons corn syrup
1/2 cup brandy
2 1/2 cups (about 5 dozen) finely crushed vanilla wafers
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
1/4 cup fine white sugar
Directions
Melt chocolate in top of double boiler over hot (not boiling) water.
Remove from heat.
Stir in 1/2 cup sugar, corn syrup and brandy.
Blend in wafer crumbs and nuts.
Mix thoroughly.
Chill until firm enough to form into balls.
Shape into 1-inch balls.
Roll in fine sugar.
Let ripen in covered container 2â€â€3 days.
Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.
