Brandy Syrup Recipe
Ingredients
| Sugar | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 three-inch piece stick cinnamon | ||
| 1/2 teaspoon anise seeds, crushed | ||
| Ground mace | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Brandy | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Combine sugar, water, cinnamon, anise seeds and mace in a small suacepan; bring to boiling, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.
Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes; strain into a small bowl.
Stir in brandy or rum. Use while still warm.
